meal donations

Donate meals to our community

How it works:
You buy meals, Picnic makes them, volunteers (also could be you) deliver the meals.  Details and sign ups below the purchase buttons.

FAQ:

Who are the meals for?

Anyone in need in the Twin Cities. People who are supporting efforts on the ground to keep our communities safe and stable. They will be teachers, volunteers, community organizers, rapid responders, and people who are struggling to access basic supplies.

Can I nominate someone or a group of people who are in need of meals?

Yes! Fill out this google form.

Please note: We are delivering to public/commercial spaces. We are not taking addresses or delivering to private homes.  There is an option in the google form for pickup for individuals/families which will then request YOUR information and pickup date.  We cannot guarantee delivery to every nominated spot, but we will try to get food out to as many requested spots as possible!

How can I volunteer?

Sign up here to drive and deliver meals. Deliveries will be to churches, schools, etc., not to private homes.

Why are you doing this?

Picnic has seen an outpouring of support for our food and supply drive, with folks near and far asking how I can do more and how I can support Picnic.  We are grateful for this generosity and want to be nimble to meet the needs of our community in real time, while also keeping the light on at our business.

Is it Tax deductible?

Unfortunately, no. We are not a non-profit organization, just a local small business trying to do some good. If you’d prefer to get the deduction, please donate money directly to a local food shelf and get a tax-deductible receipt.

Thanks for your trust and teamwork to meet emerging needs. Food is love!
